Honestly… we’re a little bit of both—it just depends on which Enzo’s Italian Market location you visit.
Our original locations in Stallings and Lancaster are traditional Italian markets, focused on high-quality imported goods, fresh pasta, house-made specialties, and prepared foods. If you're looking for an authentic Italian market near Charlotte to bring home the flavors of Italy, this is where we shine.
Our newest location in Matthews brings everything together under one roof. Alongside the market, you’ll find a full-service Osteria featuring traditional Italian and Italian-American classics, an Enoteca wine bar with a curated selection of Italian wines, and a casual Caffè.
The Caffè offers soups, fresh salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and pizzas—perfect for a quick lunch or relaxed bite. Stop in during the day and you can even grab gelato for a sweet finish.
So whether you’re searching for an Italian restaurant in Matthews NC, an Italian market near Charlotte, or a place to enjoy coffee, wine, and authentic Italian food, Enzo’s offers a little bit of everything.

Reservations are not required at the Osteria, but they are highly recommended. Walk-ins are always welcome; however, wait times can be unpredictable depending on the time of day, party size, and how busy we are during peak dining hours, weekends, and holidays.
To ensure the best possible experience with minimal wait, we suggest making a reservation— especially for larger parties.

The “learn” on our awning speaks to the experience we aim to create. As a New York style Italian Market, many of our products are imported from Italy or come from long-standing Italian American traditions, so there’s a natural learning element for anyone who didn’t grow up around it. We also use our social media to share history, culture, and stories behind what we offer—so people can learn along the way. While we have discussed hosting classes or events in the future, it is not something we are offering just yet.
